I am working on a new blog and website. I expect them to be finished sometime in March. I'm also working on finding some new families to photograph here in my new hometown - it's always fun starting to make new connections from scratch, isn't it? So hopefully a lot of new stuff will be coming your way by the end of March!
But while I remain in transition, I don't want this blog to be a photography wasteland. So in the meantime, here's a look at some recent shots of my family.

I know, I know, it has been a while since my last post. So why? Well, my family and I made our big move from Nebraska to North Carolina, and at the same time, I started a new job. So I've been keeping quite busy!
I hate to say that my push toward taking my photography obsession professional has been temporarily put on hold, but it has been. I'm still taking pictures though. That photography bug is not going anywhere, nor is it allowing me to put down my camera. I do plan to start portfolio-building again as soon as I find my new rhythm in my new home, but for now, here's some of my recent family pictures.

If you don't follow me on Facebook, then you might be wondering why the lack of posts. The answer - my family and I are in the process of moving from Omaha, Nebraska, to New Bern, North Carolina. Nothing like a 1,400 mile move to put everything else on hold for a while.
The move means our house in Omaha is up for sale, and that gave me a chance to try my hand at home photography for my realtor. I am very happy with the way things turned out. I also staged the house myself.
Take a look:
Oh, and if you're in the market for a home... I'd be happy to give you more information!

“Our memories of the ocean will linger on, long after our footprints in the sand are gone.” --Anonymous
It was my memories of the ocean and growing up beside it that made this year's vacation nostalgic and sweet for me. My family and I travelled back to the same shores I played on as a tiny girl, a girl still full of wonder and the innocence of childhood. Along with me on this trip, my husband and our own little one, our daughter, whose tiny footprints would now mark the same sands mine did 30-something years ago. Ah... the Florida Keys, not quite the same as I remember them but in so many ways still unchanged.
Travel along with us, and I hope you enjoy the pictures.
I grew up in Marathon, on Vaca Key, and that was our destination, but no trip to the Keys is complete without at least one visit to Key West.
Look mom, a shark!
The former home of one of the world's greatest writers - Ernest Hemingway.
And his six-toed cats:
The sightseeing out of the way, now it was time for the real sights - the beaches!
Sombrero Beach:
Georgia with her Aunt Jodi and Tom, the dog.
Bahia Honda State Park beach:
There's a cool, old bridge there.
Coco Plum Beach:
(Did you know you can fly at the beach?)
What family trip would be complete without spending a lot of time with, well, family? Georgia caught up with her cousins...
... while my husband and I caught up with everyone else.
It's always good to go home and walk down lanes (and beaches) full of memories.
